LifeOS is the AI harness that moves you from your current state to your ideal state. That sentence is the whole design. Shipping code, planning a trip, writing an essay, getting healthier: each one starts somewhere, has a place you want it to end up, and needs a path between the two. The work changes from task to task, and the move is the same each time.
Why this is the root
Once you see every task as the same transition, one system can handle all of them. One loop replaces a coding tool, a writing tool, a research tool and a planning tool that each think differently. It has to know where you are and where you want to be, and close the gap in steps you can check.
A chatbot answers the message in front of it, and a dashboard shows you numbers. An operating system manages the resources and processes of something larger, and here that larger thing is your life: your goals, your work, your people, your health, your time.
How LifeOS does it
The current state comes from what the system can observe and remember: memory, calendar, projects, recent work, what you’ve already decided. The ideal state comes from TELOS, where your mission, goals and strategies live, and from the ISA written for each piece of work. The Algorithm is the loop that climbs from one to the other, and every other principle in this list exists to make that climb reliable.
In practice
You ask for a talk outline and you ask for a bug fix in the same afternoon. Both go through the same steps. The system works out what done looks like for each, writes it down as criteria it can check, does the work, and shows you the evidence.
